San Mateo Redesign and Addition

A complete renovation plus a modest addition transformed a cramped 1940's home into a modern airy space for a young family. The under utilized attic was opened up to create a new vaulted Great Room in the existing portion of the home. An addition of a master and guest suite off the rear creates a courtyard layout surrounding a mature oak tree in the back yard. Clever reuse of space and an addition of less than 500 square feet took this previously two bedroom, one bath house to a four bedroom and three bath airy home.
