Initial Phone Call
A ten minute call to discuss your project, budget and desired time frame to figure out if we are a good fit for each other.
Initial Site Meeting
A meeting at your home where we discuss your project + our process, tour the home and meet all the stakeholders involved.
Proposal & Agreement
After our meeting we prepare a brief proposal outlining our services and fees for your review. With your acceptance, we prepare the Owner Architect Agreement for your signature and we begin!
Design Phase
Schematic Design - We determine the allowed size & massing of your project per your local jurisdiction, measure the existing home and prepare an initial schematic design for your review and approval.
Construction Documents - After sign off on the schematic design, we prepare the necessary drawings & documents for the building permit and submit to the local building department for review. These drawings - also called "blueprints" will serve as the guide for construction.
Finishes & Fixtures
We will assist you in selecting as much or as little of all the finishes and fixtures that will go into your home. Typically, this happens concurrently with or immediately after the Construction Documents phase.
Construction Phase
Your building permit has been approved, now we assist you in getting bids and selecting a contractor. Once construction is underway we hold regular site meetings, answer questions from the contractor and find creative solutions for the unexpected opportunities that inevitably arise during construction.
